About this Technically Organized Mama…

I’m a Professional Organizer and productivity consultant by trade.  I have owned and operated my company, The Organization Connection, since 2004.  I’m the wife of a Sports Dietitian and live in Northern Virginia (for another few weeks anyway). {We are now officially residents of coastal North Carolina- Hampstead to be exact.}

I’m an analyzer and organizer, love doing things efficiently and helping people use technology to enhance their lives.  I’m not what most would consider as a “Type A” organizer and I don’t believe in organizing just for the sake of organizing.  I love when things look pretty but more so when they function well…and there is no such thing as perfectly organized.

In my home and personal life, I subscribe to more of the minimalist mindset.  The more stuff you have, the more work it takes to maintain it and the space it consumes.  You’ll get a more intimate peak at how I go about organizing my home and personal life, especially now that have added the new role of mom to my list of jobs.  With a 3 1/2 month old, priorities get redefined daily!

I’m not sure if it was nesting (it happened early on in my pregnancy) or my business focus on technology, but this year I was bitten by the DIY bug and renewed a long time interest in crafting, decorating and home improvement projects (hubby is thrilled- ok, not really).

So, this blog is really intended as an outlet for me to document my creative pursuits and lessons learned in working to keep my life and family healthy and happy!  I hope you enjoy.

Lauren
