Wishful Window Shopping: World Market

19 Feb

Since we just relocated to North Carolina from Northern Virginia, that means that I don’t have access to all of the same stores I love to browse like The Container Store & IKEA *sad face*.  I am a big-time window shopper. Probably a combination of  budget, the fact that I’m a professional organizer {occupational hazard}, and I’m a bit indecisive about things I bring into my home {see previous reasons 1 & 2}. Additionally, we are now leasing a house which means I have to be super selective about decor and DIY projects.  I’m excited that I still have access to World Market which we visited this past weekend.  Here are just a few things that caught my eye.

Hubby actually pointed these out and the large scale could work great in our rental due to our vaulted ceilings. I definitely need a reminder of this, though it’s a challenge to do much of anything with a fussy five-month old!

I have a thing for stamped or stenciled fabrics.

Pinterest ignited my love affair with all things glass: apothecary jars, mason jars, candlesticks…{let me know in the comments if you’d like an invite to Pinterest, but be forewarned- it is SO addicting!}

These Indonesian daybeds are really inviting. Couldn’t resist the pillows on the bench…I’m thinking they could easily be recreated with drop cloths and some stencils.

I do have some *dreamy* DIY stores in mind for some Wishful Window Shopping that I didn’t have access to in Northern Virginia, so stay tuned.  What are your favorite stores to window shop in for organizing, decor and DIY?

Ciao for now!

Lauren
